The 12th edition of Gatley was published in December 2013, just before the Defamation Act 2013 came into force.  The Supplement brings the main work up to date with developments in the law over the last two years.  It provides detailed analysis of recent case law, in particular in relation to the new ‘serious harm’ requirement imposed by s.1 of the Act, and also covers related causes of action including malicious falsehood and misuse of private information.
