Following the announcement of the closure of the Press Complaints Commission, the FT has chosen to regulate itself, and decided not to join the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO). The FT’s Appointments and Oversight Committee has appointed the Commissioner to support the FT’s existing complaints mechanism, independent of the editor. Where a complaint is not resolved by the FT editors, the Commissioner will be able to review the matter and recommend appropriate redress, including corrections and clarifications.

Greg Callus will be joining 5RB as a third six pupil in October. Greg was educated at Corpus Christi RCHS in Cardiff, the United World College of the Atlantic, the University of York and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He was called to the Bar in 2012 by Lincoln’s Inn and completed pupillage at 20 Essex Street. In the past year he has been Judicial Assistant to Sir Brian Leveson and Legal Advisor to the Lord Chief Justice, as well as studying for a PhD in conflicts of law and digital technology.
